Are you nervous about networking? Attend this hands-on workshop to learn more about networking techniques and best practices to connect with industry professionals. Leave this workshop more confident in networking and your abilities to make strong connections.

The Networking workshop is part of the PDLC Career Certificate program which will help to enhance students’ career development in undergrad in preparation for the work force. Learning Objectives:

Feel more comfortable attending employer networking sessions by learning what you can do before, during and after networking events.

Learn how to formulate effective elevator pitch/introduction, navigate networking circles and how to engage in individual or group settings.

Understand specific nuances and things to remember for networking as business students

Note: In order for students to complete the PDLC Career Certificate, they must complete the following requirements below.

Workshop component:

Attend all 5 PDLC Career Certificate workshops: Business of Equity (Ocober 3rd), Resume/Cover Letter (October 10th/January 17th), Interview Trends (October 24th/Febraury 7th), Networking & Leads (November 7th/March 20th) and Degree Options for BBA/BCOM (January 27th).
Note: If you attended the Momentum Resume & Cover Letter workshop on September 20th, 2019, you do not need to attend the Resume/Cover Letter session on October 10th/January 17th.
Practical component:

Complete a resume, cover letter and mock interview critique with the PDLC team.
Assessment Component:

Submit a tailored application (resume/cover letter) and complete a mock interview for a role that you are interested in.
Completition Incentives:

Students that complete the PDLC Career Certificate will be able to purchase UofT Branded Business Cards (100 card per set) and UofT metal name tag.
Students will also have exclusive employer interaction opportunities including interviews, office tours etc.
